what a mediator call?
a friend received a letter from the court for custody pettion another state. The letter said The Conference Call mediator. I think it's a way to communiate when a party is in another state.
You have already answered your question … the courts will allow you to use your phone during mediation or the court hearings … mediation is a pre-hearing … where the two sides reach a settlement over custody, child support, property … etc … before entering the courtroom … that way when you see the judge and know what each party wants …. ! My ex did not call and I won by default … so unless your friend does not mind losing all their rights – should call the courts and establish a conference …. good luck … !
