Use of email as a management style more than a tool, thoughts?

I have a problem with the use of e-mail more than a tool to improve communication. I've seen it used as the only means of communication, replacing face to face pers. on the spot work. I do not dispute the need for email, particularly in major. However, it disgusts me to see replace one on one interaction. I would like to put some formal thought together on the theme as a way of hoping to get my point across the company where I work. I am looking for input, and if anyone has seen items on the subject around. I was planning to see the correlation with the phone, and how Teleconferencing systems has become a part of the business, but has never had more like the email has in some offices because of the importance of face to face interaction. All entries will be appreciated, either to help test my opinion, is opposed to another or even the angle to see the whole thing.

A company that used to work for internal email Suspension for a short time, as it was leading to many misunderstandings. People tend to be too short in your message, less "political" and the recipient can not hear vocal inflections, etc., in order to deduce the tone of the sender. It's easy to write an email without much attention to her. I do not think it's good to all who rely on it to communicate with their offices. It reinforces the emotional distance and is not conducive to team building – is isolation. After a moratorium three months in the email that we could use again, and trust me – everyone was much more deliberate in their use.
