Do you know the difference between an 'international code' and 'country code'?
95% of British I know who go abroad, citing the number of foreigners "Zero zero eight six, etc. And that's totally wrong for half the world! 00, is the int. prefix the UK! People should read "… six eight 'and so on. It is a mistake even Barclays International Banking girl does, and does not think she should know better? drives me crazy. Laural! + No = 00 in each country! Prefix is the international dialing prefix of a country code. For example, if I am calling the United Kingdom from the U.S., 00 will not work! 001, then 44 will do the job. And in HK was different again. And many other places to ……….. so it is extremely wrong to say, 00 first, if not always know the prefix for the country of the person you are speaking. Did I say that two countries had the same country code? Beastie: Suck your mom.
how to mark anaother country usually depends on what country you're calling and how its called in those days. could be 00, could be 001, including VoIP, which can only be a +, is how the system recognizes your country ffrom your international calls misdialled internal number, country code so it knows what country. blah, blah, blah.
