Conference Calls Companies
Is my company allowed to force me to participate in unpaid conference calls?

I work for hourly wages, not salary, and my company requires that I be on a 45 minute to 1 hour unpaid conference call three times a week (typically done from home). Obviously, they are allowed to terminate me for non-participation as I live in a right-to-work state, but I’m curious if I have any standing in saying that they should be required to pay me for this time. Sources or relevant case law would be great, as I can’t seem to find any.

You work in an at will state, not a right to work state.

Technically, you are to be paid for any work done. Given that it seems to have little impact on you, enforcing the rule might not be the smartest thing to do. YOu work at will, so…..
