What Russia has done about global warming? What is the policy of Russia?
I am a high school student and I am registered in a class called Model United Nations. This is simulation de sa classification of the Conference of the United Nations. I represent Russia and getting ready global issue. I know what Russia's policy on global warming. Need to know about the conference tomorrow, because it only had a week to prepare. Well signed the Kyoto Protocol stating that emissions remain below 1990 levels. They are doing better than any other country, and have significantly reduced their overall emissions by almost half. They were quite genius in making this too, not to reduce the emissions of each plant or even make any plant cleaner, what they did was to crash the economy in 1998. who have done a so good that do not recover in that Russian production is still well below 1990 levels and not expected to pass until 2020. I think at this point most of people and factories are struggling to get by there and not really worry too much about the whole global warming issue.
